gsettings-desktop-schemas (50.1-1) experimental; urgency=medium

Since GNOME 50, X11-style middle-click paste (pasting the primary
selection, usually activated by a middle mouse button click) is disabled
by default, because it was often done accidentally by users who did
  not expect it.

The recommended way to copy/paste text is via the clipboard, usually
  Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V or Ctrl+Insert, Shift+Insert.

If recommended packages are installed during upgrade, a user session
migration script will keep middle-click paste enabled for existing
user accounts. If the upgrade was done while logged in, it will be
necessary to log out and back in to make this take effect.

Middle-click paste can be configured via the "Tweaks" utility from the
gnome-tweaks package (Mouse & Touchpad → Mouse → Middle Click Paste)
or by using the gsettings command from the libglib2.0-bin package,
  for example:

      gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-enable-primary-paste true
